Helping Colorado Families Succeed
The Family Resource Center Association (FRCA) empowers families to raise healthy children by strengthening and sustaining the work of our 23 family resource centers across Colorado. Family resource centers work with the entire family to help them become more self-reliant in key areas that affect their family stability, including parenting, health, education, employment, housing and financial management. FRCA’s collaborative network of family resource centers provide nearly 60,000 people each year with a safe, accessible place to connect with comprehensive, coordinated services and support in their own communities.
FRCA helps our member family resource centers expand their reach and capacity to serve families, supports implementation of family development and health programs with proven evidence of success, and works to help centers continuously improve their programs as well as their organizational sustainability. Our mission is to provide public advocacy, capacity building, and resource development to strengthen our statewide network of family resource centers as they bring help and hope to Colorado families.
What is a family resource center?
Family resource centers provide a safe, accessible place for families to connect with comprehensive, coordinated services that help them strengthen their families and become more self-reliant. Programs at each center are tailored to the culture, resources and needs of the community they serve, and focus on building on the strengths of each family and individual.
Family resource centers adhere to the Principles and Practices of Family Support established by Family Support America.
Family Resource Center Association members are family resource centers who agree to adhere to the Principles and Practices of Family Support and at a minimum provide Family Development services and Resource Information and Referral, as well as other core services as appropriate to their communities. FRCA’s Membership Committee reviews all applications for membership. To learn more, contact FRCA at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 303.388.1001. Or visit http://www.cofamilycenters.org/.
